Nexstar acquired KTAL, an NBC affiliate, in November 2000. Through significant investment in station facilities and equipment, and the hiring of a new management team, KTAL has made significant progress in growing revenue and viewing share as well as profits over the past seven years. With an expanded news department, the station provides in-depth coverage of both Shreveport and Texarkana, and has significantly increased the amount of local news produced at the station.  The station's syndicated programming includes Rachael Ray, Divorce Court and Wheel of Fortune.
