WFXV

STATION PROFILE

WFXV, a Fox affiliate, was acquired by Nexstar Broadcasting in late 2003 as part of the Quorum acquisition. WFXV also operates low power station WPNY, the My Network TV affiliate in the market. During the spring of 2004, Mission Broadcasting acquired WUTR, an ABC affiliate also located in Utica, and subsequently entered into various service agreements with Nexstar Broadcasting station WFXV. The combined resources of WFXV, WPNY-LP, and WUTR provide operating efficiencies for all three stations and a viable alternative for area advertisers. WFXV’s syndicated programming includes Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men, Family Guy and The Simpsons. The stations have improved revenue shares by developing sales projects such as Healthy Beginnings, New Revenue Solutions and several highly successful New Media projects such as "The MVCC 5th Grader Challenge."
