Nexstar Media Group Names Tracey Rogers Vice President and General Manager of Nashville, Tennessee Television and Digital Operations

Tennessee Native and Accomplished Broadcasting Executive with Record of Service in Nashville and the Mid-South Region Returns to WKRN-TV (ABC) and WKRN.com in New Leadership Role

NASHVILLE, Tennessee and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Tracey Rogers has been named Vice President and General Manager of WKRN-TV (ABC) and associated digital services including WKRN.com, serving Nashville, TN (DMA #29). Ms. Rogers will assume her new responsibilities immediately and report to Mike Vaughn, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.

Ms. Rogers was born and raised in the great state of Tennessee where she began her broadcasting career nearly three decades ago in Nashville at WSMV-TV (NBC), before moving on to WTVF-TV (CBS), and then later to WKRN-TV where she served as Assistant News Director for four years.

An accomplished industry veteran, Ms. Rogers has expertise in local and national sales management, new business development, local news programming and strategic planning across multiple media platforms. She most recently served as General Manager at WMC-TV (NBC) in Memphis, TN (DMA #51). During her tenure, Ms. Rogers directed the realignment of station sales department and implemented new multiplatform marketing strategies that resulted in enhanced productivity, improved personnel performance and greater revenue growth and profitability. In addition, she developed innovative content strategies and launched unique digital concepts that resulted in expanded audience reach and community engagement.

Prior to that, Ms. Rogers served as General Manager for KAIT-TV (ABC) in Jonesboro, AR (DMA #182) where her initiatives focused on brand development, local content leadership and excellence in viewer and client experience led to consistent revenue and market share growth. Before her time in Jonesboro, she held News Director positions at WMC-TV (NBC) in Memphis, TN; WAFF-TV (NBC) in Huntsville-Decatur-Florence, AL and WPSD-TV (NBC) in Paducah-Cape Girard-Harrisburg, KY. Under Ms. Rogers’ leadership, local news operations earned numerous accolades for exceptional local programming and community service including three regional Emmy Awards, five Associated Press Awards and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Tracey Rogers graduated from Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism. Ms. Rogers is also a graduate of the National Association of Broadcasters Executive Development Program. She is a current board member of the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters and has previously served on the boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Crime Stoppers and the Better Business Bureau.

Ms. Rogers, her husband and their family are immediately relocating to the Nashville, TN area.
