The Nexstar Broadcasting Group purchased WWTI ABC 50 and The North Country’s CW from Newport Television LLC. In July of 2012. With the purchase WWTI ABC 50 has reentered the production of local news/information programming with the likes of Made in Northern, New York and The Great Grill Off. It also produces a number of hyper local programs for air and digital distribution such as All In a Days Drive, Ask The Experts, Home Town Heroes and The Golden Apple Award just to name a few. WWTI ABC 50 is very active in the local community with such programs as Coaches vs Cancer, The Back Pack program and the Strongest Warrior Competition just to name a few. WWTI ABC 50 and its website InformNNY.com have become a local driver for commerce and community service. The stations syndicated line up includes, Dr. Oz,The Doctors,Judge Judy,Dr Phil, The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.
