Nexstar purchased KETK-TV, an NBC affiliate, from Communications Corporation of America on January 1, 2015. KETK has always held a strong commitment to the East Texas communities it serves.  KETK added a 4PM and 4:30 PM weekday newscast in 2021. The station produces 30 hours of local news produced each week. The station is also home to some of the top syndicated programs in the country. Those programs include Rachael Ray, The Drew Barrymore Show, Dr. Phil and Entertainment Tonight. The station’s commitment to weather is well documented.   KETK takes great pride in their local sports coverage as well. For over 20 years East Texas viewers have been enjoying the best High School Football highlights on KETK Friday Football Fever. From a technological standpoint, the station was one of the first in the market to begin broadcasting local, network and syndicated programming in HD.
