Mission Broadcasting acquired KOLR as part of the Quorum Broadcasting acquisition in late 2003. KOLR operates under various local agreements with Nexstar Broadcasting station KOZL. Both stations have grown revenue share by integrating Nexstar sales systems and inventory management. The station’s syndicated programming includes Entertainment Tonight, Judge Judy and Two and a Half Men. Both KOLR and KOZL benefit from regular strategic planning with Nexstar's other stations in Missouri. KOLR has expanded its news production since the combining of services with KOZL and now carries over 20 hours per week of news programming. It also produces the daily lifestyle/entertainment program, Ozarks Live! from studios in Springfield and Branson. KOLR has a digital Satellite truck allowing for expanded news coverage of breaking news in our large 31 county DMA. KOLR began broadcasting in high definition in May 2011.
