WFNA is the CW affiliate for the Mobile/Pensacola DMA. WFNA was acquired in December 2014 by Media General through the merger with LIN Media. The station is undergoing an aggressive rebranding campaign promoting the CW programming as well as the newly revamped schedule including our afternoon block of Pawn Stars, Rules of Engagement and Family Feud. In addition, we are actively promoting the station and engaging with our fans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. CW55 launched their first local newscast in June 2016, with the primary focus on the Pensacola and surrounding Northwest Florida communities. Exciting plans are in place for adding a CW Star, additional news content as well as a major push to promote the station through key grassroots efforts throughout the coming year.

Cable/ADS penetration in the market is estimated to be 48% wired, 40% ADS. Mobile, Alabama, is the home to the original Mardi Gras, as well as the 10th largest port in the United States. Mobile’s industrial growth is in the aerospace manufacturing, maritime and chemical sectors. Pensacola is home to the famed Blue Angels and some of the whitest sandy beaches in the world.
