Nexstar Broadcasting Group entered into an agreement to purchase WTRF CBS, WTRF ABC Ohio Valley and WTRF My Ohio Valley (MyNet) from West Virginia Media Holdings in November 2015. Throughout WTRF’s history, we have always been strongly committed to our local communities. WTRF delivers local news stories that help inform, improve and protect the Ohio Valley. We take our community responsibility a step further by partnering with over 50 community organizations and non-profit events each year.

WTRF offers the best multi-screen viewing possible by broadcasting in High Definition, live streaming and providing breaking news via social media. We offer tremendous marketing opportunities for local, state, regional and national advertisers.

As a CBS, ABC and MyNet affiliate, WTRF provides some of the highest rated prime time programming and sports. We also carry top rated syndicated programming including Judge Judy, Big Bang Theory, Dr. Oz, The Doctors and Entertainment Tonight. WTRF started the first 10 o’clock newscast in the Ohio Valley and also airs Tonight Live, the only true statewide newscast.
