Nexstar's Networks Division operates The CW Network, NewsNation, multicast network Antenna TV, Rewind TV, and WGN Radio in Chicago.

The CW Network

The CW is America’s fifth major broadcast network and reaches 100% of US television households.  The CW is 75%-owned by Nexstar Media Group, Inc., the largest CW affiliate group.

The CW delivers 15 hours of primetime entertainment programming per week in addition to over 300 hours of sports per year as the broadcast home to LIV Golf, ACC football and basketball games, “Inside the NFL,” WWE NXT beginning in 2024 and NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning in 2025.

The fully ad-supported CW App, with more than 100 million downloads to date, is available for free to consumers on all major platforms and is home to the latest episodes and seasons of The CW’s primetime programming, live streaming of LIV Golf tournaments and a library of entertaining film and television content for on-demand viewing.

NewsNation

 

NewsNation is the fastest-growing national cable news network in primetime reaching nearly 70 million television households across the United States. The network draws on the local and national expertise of Nexstar’s 6,000 journalists in 110 newsrooms across the country.

The upstart cable news network offers news 24/5, beginning with the network’s signature three-hour morning show Morning in America, NewsNation Now, On Balance with Leland Vittert, [CUOMO], Dan Abrams Live, as well as Banfield.

It airs in 142 TV markets across the U.S. reaching 91% of TV households including WPIX-TV (11.2) New York, KTLA-TV (5.2) Los Angeles, and WGN-TV (9.2) Chicago. On January 1, 2016, Antenna TV became the new home of “Johnny Carson.”

RewindTV

Nexstar Media Inc. launched Rewind TV, a digital subchannel offering a slate of classic television sitcom hits from the 1980s and 1990s, on September 1, 2021.  At its launch, Rewind TV reaches 40 percent of U.S. television households, or nearly 50 million homes, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.  Rewind TV is available on newly designated or recently vacated digital sub-channels licensed to Nexstar.

Rewind TV’s initial line-up of hit favorites will include: The Drew Carey Show, Murphy Brown, Growing Pains, Wings, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Who’s the Boss, and Family Ties.

      

WGN Radio

Since 1922, WGN Radio AM 720, a Nexstar Media Group, Inc. station, has been dedicated to being the #1 source of Chicagoland news, information, entertainment, and sports.
