Remarkable Women
Celebrating the extraordinary contributions women have made to our nation and our local communities.
Nexstar’s annual Remarkable Women initiative shines a light on the often-overlooked stories of women whose lives exemplify community impact, personal achievement, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Across the country, thousands are nominated each year for the impact they make every day, and from those stories, local finalists emerge.
Since its inception in 2020, the program has inspired more than 70,000 nominations nationwide, with nearly 12,000 nominations submitted for 2026 alone. We have also showcased more than 3,600 women who are making a positive impact in their communities.
Through the initiative, Nexstar has contributed more than $1.6 million in cash and in-kind media support to nonprofits across the country. Nexstar’s 2026 Remarkable Woman of the Year was awarded $25,000 to donate to the nonprofit charitable organization of her choice. Nexstar has also committed to airing public service announcements in support of her chosen charity.
