WGN America, Nexstar Media Group, Inc.’s wholly owned cable network reaching 75 million television households across the country, announced the anchor teams and correspondents for its live three-hour prime-time national newscast, News Nation, which debuts Tuesday, September 1st.
Nexstar Media Group’s cable network, WGN America will launch a live daily national newscast. Beginning this summer, “News Nation,” will air in prime-time and will draw on the expertise of Nexstar’s 5,400 local journalists in 110 local newsrooms across the country.
Nexstar Media Group, Inc. completed its previously announced acquisition of Tribune Media Company in an accretive transaction valued at approximately $7.2 billion, creating the nation’s largest local television broadcaster.
