WGN Radio Wins Gracie Awards Third Consecutive Year

WGN Radio’s Lisa Dent wins for Interview Feature – Radio, Local

CHICAGO (March 23, 2026) – For the third year in a row, WGN Radio has been recognized by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) for excellence in broadcasting. This year, Lisa Dent, host of The Lisa Dent Show, has been named a winner of the 51st Annual Gracie Awards for her compelling interview feature, “Chaos Divers.” The award recognizes Dent in the Interview Feature, local radio category.

The award-winning segment features an intimate, woman-to-woman dialogue between Dent and Lindsay Bussick, Manager of Chaos Divers—an organization that bridges the gap between environmental recovery and cold case investigations. The feature highlights the team’s grueling and emotional work uncovering secrets submerged beneath the surface of the Chicagoland area’s waterways.

This discussion details the emotional 2023 recovery of a vehicle in the Fox River in Elgin, linked to a woman missing since 1983. Found in just seven feet of water after four decades, the discovery provided long-awaited closure for a family and a mother in her 90s. The interview also explored the daunting mission to locate a couple missing since 1970, a search that revealed a staggering 98 submerged vehicles in the Chicago River.

The annual Gracie Awards recognize outstanding achievement and programming by, for, and about women, highlighting talent both in front of and behind the camera and microphone
