Nexstar Broadcasting Promotes Amy Doane to Vice President and General Manager of its Greenville, North Carolina Broadcast and Digital Operations

Veteran Broadcasting Executive with Nearly 30 Years of Sales and Marketing Experience to Lead WNCT-TV, ENCT-TV and wnct.com

 

GREENVILLE, NC and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST), announced today that it has promoted Amy Doane to Vice President and General Manager of its broadcast and digital operations in Greenville, NC (DMA #100), overseeing WNCT-TV (CBS), ENCT-TV (CW) and wnct.com.  Ms. Doane will assume her new responsibilities immediately and report to Traci Wilkinson, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Broadcasting.

Ms. Doane brings nearly 30 years of experience in broadcast television marketing and sales and a deep understanding of Nexstar’s Greenville, NC operations to her new role, having served as General Sales Manager for WNCT-TV, ENCT-TV and wnct.com since 2015, overseeing all revenue operations.  She joined WNCT-TV in 2013 as Local Sales Manager.  Prior to joining Nexstar, Ms. Doane held a series of local sales and management positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of markets across the country, including Wichita, KS (DMA #72), Nashville, TN (DMA #28), and Raleigh, NC (DMA #27).

During the course of her career, Ms. Doane has consistently demonstrated the ability to grow revenue and profitability by identifying new revenue streams, building exceptional sales teams and creating a culture that fosters innovative concepts and unparalleled client service.

During her tenure with Nexstar in Greenville, Ms. Doane and her sales team consistently grew WNCT-TV’s broadcasting and digital revenue.  She was instrumental in the opening of a new regional station operation in Jacksonville, NC, extending WNCT-TV’s reach and service for viewers and clients in the southeast area of the state.  She was involved in the development of “The East’s Daily Download,” a thirty-minute lifestyle show launched in August 2019.  Ms. Doane also initiated “Caring for Carolina” in Greenville, a broad-based community program which helps residents in need through a variety of annual charitable events.

Ms. Doane has been active in local civic and community initiatives during her career, serving previously as member of the Board and on the Executive Committee of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.  She is a graduate of two Chambers of Commerce leadership programs in Raleigh, NC, and Johnson City, TN.

Ms. Doane graduated from the University of Tennessee/Knoxville with a degree in communications.  She and her husband, Nick, have lived in the Greenville area since 2013.
