Nexstar Media Group Names Andrew Wyatt Vice President and General Manager Of Hagerstown, MD Television and Digital Operations
Accomplished Local Broadcasting and Sales Management Executive With Over 30 Years of Industry Experience to Lead WDVM-TV and LocalDVM.com
HAGERSTOWN, Maryland and IRVING, Texas (August 13, 2018) – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Andrew Wyatt has been named Vice President and General Manager of WDVM-TV and associated digital services including LocalDVM.com, serving Central and Western Maryland, South Central Pennsylvania, the Eastern panhandle of West Virginia and Northern Virginia (DMA #6). He replaces Hugh Breslin who retired in June after delivering many years of excellence in leadership and service to local viewers and the dedicated staff of Nexstar’s Four States operations. Mr. Wyatt’s appointment is effective immediately and he will report to Theresa Underwood, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.
Andrew Wyatt has extensive executive broadcast experience in television markets throughout the country with expertise in station and sales management, client and revenue development as well as local programming and content creation across multiple media platforms. He most recently served as vice president and general manager of WFXG-TV (FOX) in Augusta, GA (DMA #112). During his tenure, Mr. Wyatt developed and led highly effective teams and implemented sales, marketing and digital media initiatives that resulted in increased broadcast and digital revenues, as well as market share gains. Additionally, he spearheaded the launch of the station’s news programming, managing all aspects of local branding and talent recruitment.
Prior to Augusta, Mr. Wyatt served as vice president and general manager of KSWT-TV (CBS) in Yuma, AZ (DMA #166) for seven years. In his leadership role at KSWT-TV, he was instrumental in developing innovative client solutions and community promotions that resulted in improved cash flow and record revenue share growth. He also developed innovative content strategies for the station’s news programming and launched unique digital concepts that led to expanded audience reach and engagement. Before his tenure in Yuma, he served in various sales and sales management capacities with Emmis Communications in Albuquerque, NM, and Tucson, AZ. Mr. Wyatt started his broadcasting career as a producer / director in Roswell, NM.

Andrew Wyatt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. He is a former board member of the Salvation Army of Augusta, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, Yuma Executives Association, Northern Arizona University (Yuma Advisory Board), Imperial Valley Economic Development and United Way of Yuma County.
Mr. Wyatt and his family will be immediately relocating to the Hagerstown region.
