During his 20-year tenure at Entravision, he broke new ground in Boston with the successful launch of New England’s first live, local nightly Spanish-language television newscast. Mr. von Lichtenberg’s passion for athletics, coupled with his connection to the Spanish-language viewers enabled him to create unique and compelling local content while optimizing the stations’ digital and social platforms to expand audience reach and engagement.  Importantly, his efforts and initiatives resulted in new local client partnerships as well as revenue and viewership share growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Theresa Underwood stated, “Alex has an impressive industry background and over 20 years of experience in executive sales and broadcast station management. He has a long-term record of success in strengthening station operations and financial results by developing strong local news programming and content, as well as new media initiatives that enhanced service to local viewers, businesses and community organizations. He is also a well-respected leader who has built high-achieving teams that delivered compelling and effective marketing solutions for advertisers across broadcast and digital media platforms. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a results-oriented focus and innovative approach to the business of broadcasting and we are confident that his valuable management and marketing expertise will enhance the leadership position of our local Burlington operations and build upon the achievements of WFFF-TV and MyChamplainValley.com.”

Commenting on his new role, Alex von Lichtenberg stated, “Nexstar’s long-term success reflects its core commitment to the viewers and advertisers across each of the individual markets it serves. As a native of New England, I spent many summers in Vermont with my family and am excited to now establish roots there with this new opportunity at Nexstar. In this role, I will leverage the business relationships, management, sales and programming experience built over my career to generate results and further strengthen the position of our Burlington television and digital operations. I look forward to working alongside the exceptional local media team at WFFF-TV and MyChamplainValley.com as we continue to build upon our commitment to deliver exceptional local news programming and service to viewers and advertisers throughout the Champlain Valley.”
