Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation Donates $5,000 to Music for the Mission in Binghamton, NY
Irving, TX and Binghamton, NY (April 15, 2026) – The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation and WIVT-TV and WBGH-TV, the Nexstar Media Group, Inc., (NASDAQ: NXST) television stations serving Binghamton, NY, and the surrounding area, today announced that the Foundation will donate $5,000 to Music for the Mission (M4M).
M4M’s mini-grant program provides up to $2,000 in funding to grassroots organizations and community projects that address hunger, homelessness, and poverty across Central and Upstate New York, including Binghamton, Syracuse, and Watertown, NY. This year, organization received 82 grant requests, a record number of applications, but are only able to fund only 22.
The Nexstar Charitable Foundation’s donation will be designated for their “60 Pantries in 60 Days” campaign, helping them reach their $150,000 goal to support the remaining pantries.
“M4M supports grassroots food pantries and programs that often lack the visibility and funding of larger nonprofits,” said Stephen Eaton, Vice President and General Manager of WIVT-TV and WBGH-TV. “We’re proud to help raise awareness and resources for these local programs. Giving back to Nexstar’s communities is a core company value, and we’re grateful the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making this donation in recognition of the strong partnership between WIVT-TV/WBGH-TV and Music for the Mission.”
The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation’s mission is to contribute to and work with public charities and non-profit organizations to improve the communities in which Nexstar Media and its subsidiaries do business. The foundation was originally established in 1958 and makes donations of approximately $350,000 annually.
