Nexstar Media Foundation Announces Honorees for Day Eight of “30 Days of Giving” Initiative

The Capital Gallery and The Foodbank Named as Recipients of $5,000 Grants

Irving, TX (June 8, 2026) – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making a $5,000 contribution to both The Capital Gallery and The Foodbank as part of the company’s “30 Days of Giving” initiative, a month-long program recognizing and supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar’s nationwide footprint.

“30 Days of Giving” is an employee‑driven initiative created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nexstar’s founding in June 1996. Locally-led committees reviewed submissions from Nexstar’s 13,000 employees and selected charitable and nonprofit organizations to nominate for grants. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Charitable Foundation’s Board of Directors chose 60 to receive $5,000 each. Every day during the month of June, the Foundation will award two $5,000 grants; by the end of the month the Foundation will have committed $300,000 to “30 Days of Giving.”

The Foundation today recognized The Capital Gallery and The Foodbank as recipients of $5,000 grants. The organizations were nominated by the employees at KXMB/KXMA-TV and WDTN/WBDT-TV, the Nexstar television stations serving Bismarck, ND, and Dayton, OH, respectively.

The Capital Gallery operates a full-service fine art gallery dedicated to celebrating the history, art, and culture of North Dakota and the Northern Plains. It showcases work from local, regional, and international artists and has become a leading arts destination in western North Dakota, featuring more than 80 artists and welcoming thousands of visitors with free admission. Support from Capital Gallery Society patrons and the North Dakota Council on the Arts help expand access to the arts, increase artist visibility, and create meaningful cultural experiences that connect and enrich the community.  “Wild,” a current exhibit at The Capital Gallery, celebrates 65 years of the Dakota Zoo, featuring original wildlife works from Capital Gallery Icon Artist Todd Clausnitzer and others.

“KX News is proud to contribute to the local arts. The Capital Gallery showcases the history and culture of North Dakota and the Northern Plains through each artist’s work, “said Tammy Blumhagen, Vice President and General Manager of KXMB/KXMA-TV in Bismarck, ND. “Thousands of art enthusiasts have been motivated and inspired by the local work shared at The Capital Gallery.”
