Nexstar Media Foundation Announces Honorees for Day Thirty of “30 Days of Giving” Initiative

Young Ladies Success and the St. Patrick Hunger Project Named as Recipients of $5,000 Grants

Irving, TX (June 30, 2026) – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making a $5,000 contribution to both Young Ladies Success and the St. Patrick Hunger Project as part of the company’s “30 Days of Giving” initiative, a month-long program recognizing and supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar’s nationwide footprint. Young Ladies Success and the St. Patrick Hunger Project were nominated by the  employees at KTAB-TV, the Nexstar television station serving Abilene, TX, and those at WSYR-TV in Syracuse, NY, respectively.

“30 Days of Giving” is an employee‑driven initiative created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nexstar’s founding in June 1996. Locally-led committees reviewed submissions from Nexstar’s 13,000 employees and selected charitable and nonprofit organizations to nominate for grants. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Charitable Foundation’s Board of Directors chose 60 to receive $5,000 each. Every day during the month of June, the Foundation will award two $5,000 grants; by the end of the month the Foundation will have committed $300,000 to “30 Days of Giving.”

Young Ladies Success provides young women collegiate and career opportunities to improve self-confidence, empower self-responsibility, develop leadership skills, and promote success in school and life.

Throughout the year, Young Ladies Success hosts workshops, conferences, and mentoring sessions that cover a wide range of subjects designed to promote healthy living. Open to middle and high school students, participants can connect with peers, hear from motivational speakers, take part in interactive sessions on topics such as fighting Imposter Syndrome, and receive practical guidance to help them prepare for college and future careers.

“Nexstar proudly reaffirms its strong commitment to uplifting local nonprofit organizations in our communities through our impactful initiative, ‘30 Days of Giving,’” said Albert Gutierrez, Vice President and General Manager of KTAB-TV in Abilene, TX. “Young Ladies Success is an exceptional organization in Abilene that empowers young women to succeed in life by building confidence, enhancing leadership skills, and creating clear career pathways—all of which resonate deeply with our company’s core values. Join us in celebrating this worthy cause that aims to transform futures!”

The St. Patrick Hunger Project supports a network of hunger-related agencies working to meet the food needs of individuals and families across Central New York. It is the fundraising arm of the Syracuse St Patrick’s Parade, and all proceeds benefit the Food Bank of Central New York, the Interreligious Food Consortium, and other local food pantries.

The Project partners with local businesses year-round to host fundraising events, including raffles and golf outings. It places food collection barrels throughout the region at businesses and public locations to encourage ongoing donations. These efforts are especially critical during February and March, when food bank supplies are typically at their lowest.

The St. Patrick Hunger Project also raises awareness of An Gorta Mor, or the Great Hunger, a period of mass starvation, disease, and forced emigration in Ireland from 1845 to 1852.

“For nearly two decades, the St. Patrick Hunger Project has united our community around the shared belief that no family should go hungry,” said Bill Evans, Vice President and General Manager of WSYR-TV in Syracuse, NY. “Through its dedication to providing nutritious meals and essential support to individuals and families in need, the organization demonstrates the power of local action to create meaningful change. The St. Patrick Hunger Project not only helps meet immediate needs but also strengthens our community by fostering compassion, dignity, and hope for those in need.”
