Irving, TX and Tyler, TX (April 13, 2023) – The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation and KETK-TV, the Nexstar Media Inc. television station serving Tyler, TX, and the surrounding area, today announced that the Foundation will donate $2,500 to the United Way of Smith County.
United Way of Smith County brings together local companies, individuals, government and nonprofit agencies to tackle big issues. The organization raises funds that support more than 30 essential programs that target four essential impact areas: Education, Health & Wellness, Financial Stability, and Crisis Intervention. By focusing on these impact areas, the organization hopes to ensure that every citizen in Smith County has access to education, adequate health care services, help in the midst of a crisis, and a clear path toward financial stability.

The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation’s mission is to contribute to and work with public charities and non-profit organizations to improve the communities in which Nexstar Media and its subsidiaries do business. The foundation was originally established in 1958 and it makes donations of approximately $350,000 annually.
