South Dakota’s U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative Will Address Federal Response to Coronavirus Outbreak

Nexstar Brings Together More Than 880,000 Viewers Across All 66 Counties of South Dakota via Television Broadcast and Livestream Video

(Nasdaq: NXST), announced today that it will host an exclusive live multi-market virtual Town Hall meeting, “KELOLAND News Special Report: A Coronavirus Town Hall,” featuring both of South Dakota’s U.S. Senators and its member of the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. CT.  The Town Hall will include U.S. Senator John Thune (R), U.S. Senator Mike Rounds (R) and U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R), who will address the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic and the re-opening of the state’s economy, and take questions from viewers across South Dakota.  Due to restrictions on large gatherings, the senators and representative will remotely join the broadcast and livestream.

The one-hour virtual Town Hall will be hosted from the studios of KELO-TV (CBS) in Sioux Falls, SD, and air on KELO-TV and KCLO-TV (CBS) in Rapid City, SD, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT.  The broadcast and livestream video will bring together more than 880,000 viewers in all 66 counties across South Dakota.  The livestream of the Town Hall is available online at KELOLAND.com.  Viewers can submit questions for the Town Hall at:

The television broadcast will be hosted by KELOLAND Media Group anchors Don Jorgensen and Bridget Bennett, and will open with a recap of the latest developments in the pandemic. The broadcast will then move to interviews with Senators Thune and Rounds and Representative Johnson and feature questions submitted by viewers.
