Nexstar Stations Will Reach all of Vermont via Television Broadcast and Livestream Video

 

BURLINGTON and IRVING, TX – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, announced today that it will host an exclusive live virtual Town Hall meeting, “Vermont Virtual Town Hall,” featuring Vermont’s Congressman, Peter Welch, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. ET.  The Town Hall will also include Tom Torti, President & CEO of the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce, Claudio Fort, President & CEO of the Rutland Regional Medical Center, and Tom Flanagan, the next Superintendent of the Burlington School District.  The Town Hall will address the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic and possible changes residents might expect in the retail, healthcare, and education segments of the economy.

The one-hour virtual Town Hall will be hosted from the studios of WFFF-TV (FOX) in Colchester, VT, and bring together more than 600,000 viewers across the state’s 14 counties via live television broadcast and livestream video.  The live broadcast will air from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT and be hosted by Local 44 anchor, Lauren Maloney.  The Town Hall will air on three Nexstar television stations serving Vermont, including WFFF-TV (FOX) and WVNY-TV (ABC) in Colchester, and WTEN-TV (ABC) in Albany, NY.  Viewers may access a livestream of the Town Hall online by visiting myChamplainValley.com.  Viewers are invited to submit questions via email to news@myChamplainValley.com.

The Town Hall will open with a review of the latest developments in the battle against the pandemic, after which Ms. Maloney will speak with Congressman Welch regarding issues related to the re-opening of the Vermont’s economy and federal assistance for the state.  Ms. Maloney will then pose questions submitted by viewers.
