Nexstar Media Foundation Announces Honorees for Day Fourteen of “30 Days of Giving” Initiative
Urban Baby Beginnings and Sleep in Heavenly Peace-Savannah Named as Recipients of $5,000 Grants
Irving, TX (June 14, 2026) – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making a $5,000 contribution to both Urban Baby Beginnings and Sleep in Heavenly Peace-Savannah as part of the company’s “30 Days of Giving” initiative, a month-long program recognizing and supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar’s nationwide footprint.
“30 Days of Giving” is an employee‑driven initiative created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nexstar’s founding in June 1996. Locally-led committees reviewed submissions from Nexstar’s 13,000 employees and selected charitable and nonprofit organizations to nominate for grants. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Charitable Foundation’s Board of Directors chose 60 to receive $5,000 each. Every day during the month of June, the Foundation will award two $5,000 grants; by the end of the month the Foundation will have committed $300,000 to “30 Days of Giving.”
The Foundation today recognized Urban Baby Beginnings and Sleep in Heavenly Peace-Savannah as recipients of $5,000 grants. The organizations were nominated by employees at WRIC-TV, the Nexstar television station serving Richmond, VA, and WSAV-TV in Savannah, GA, respectively.
Urban Baby Beginnings (UBB) is committed to ensuring every woman of childbearing age has access to high-quality, compassionate, and culturally relevant maternal care. The organization works to reduce adverse outcomes for families during the prenatal, postpartum, and early childhood stages. UBB’s hubs in Richmond, Norfolk, Newport News, Petersburg, and Roanoke, as well as a telehealth platform, connect families with hospitals, providers, and community-based organizations to ensure care is accessible and the medical and social needs of families are met. UBB’s participating families experience reduced stress and isolation, improved outcomes in breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and newborn health, and receive essential resources such as diapers, nutrition, and safe sleep education.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is the leading national nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering hand-made, fully furnished beds to children in need. With more than 350 chapters across the United States, SHP’s works to combat childhood bedlessness, which it estimates to affect nearly 3% of the population.
The organization’s Savannah chapter serves families in Savannah, GA, and parts of Garden City within Chatham County, where an estimated 9,000 children sleep on the floor every night. As of May 2026, the chapter has delivered 113 beds this year, each complete with bedding, a pillow, and a twin mattress.
