Nexstar Media Group Names Robert G. Bee Vice President and General Manager of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Television and Digital Operations

Accomplished Local Broadcasting and Sales Management Executive with over 35 years of Experience Promoted to Lead WHTM-TV (ABC) and abc27.com

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Robert G. Bee has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of WHTM-TV (ABC) and associated digital services, including abc27.com, serving Harrisburg, PA (DMA #43). Since 2012, Mr. Bee has served as Vice President and General Manager of WBRE-TV (NBC) in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA (DMA #56) where he was also responsible for overseeing Nexstar’s joint operating agreement with Mission Broadcasting’s WYOU-TV (CBS). Mr. Bee will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Theresa Underwood, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.

An industry veteran with over 35 years of broadcast and sales management experience, Mr. Bee has spent the last two decades of his career serving local communities in the great state of Pennsylvania, including five years serving Nexstar’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton television and digital operations.  During his tenure at WBRE-TV, Mr. Bee led teams that delivered effective marketing solutions for local and national advertisers, while also implementing innovative programming strategies and unique digital concepts that expanded audience reach and community engagement. Importantly, his efforts and initiatives resulted in revenue and viewership share growth, new local client partnerships and overall increased station profitability.

Before joining Nexstar, from 2003 to 2012 Mr. Bee served as Director of Sales at WTAE-TV (ABC) in Pittsburgh, PA (DMA #23), where he provided strategic oversight of all local and national sales efforts, while developing meaningful revenue streams for the station’s digital operations. Prior to that, he served as General Sales Manager of WGAL-TV (NBC) in Harrisburg, PA, (DMA #43), WXIX-TV (FOX) in Cincinnati, OH, (DMA #36) and WLIG-TV (IND) on Long Island, NY (DMA #1). Earlier in his career, Mr. Bee held sales leadership positions at Independent Television Sales, Inc. and Metromedia Television.

Mr. Bee is a graduate of St. John’s University and has served the boards of several trade and franchise associations for ABC, FOX, and the Association of Independent Television Stations. He has also held community board positions at Chambers of Commerce, Luzerne Foundation, NEPA Food Bank, American Red Cross (Susquehanna Valley Chapter), Salvation Army (Lancaster and Pittsburgh), Community Hospital of Lancaster County, Capital Region Economic Development Corporation, Pennsylvania Economy League, UCP, and United Way.

Mr. Bee and his wife Betty will be immediately relocating to Harrisburg.
