KELOLAND TV was South Dakota’s first television station signing on the air on May 19, 1953. It began as the number one TV station and continues to dominate as the leading media company in the region. The station is one of the highest rated CBS affiliates in the nation and serves portions of South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska – one of the largest coverage areas in the nation. KELOLAND News has earned numerous state, regional and national awards for excellence. KELOLAND.com is the region’s most visited local website and KELOLAND Digital is a leading digital marketing arm of the station.

KELOLAND TV is recognized as a community leader as shown through its commitment to the United Way and many community events benefiting organizations such as Make a Wish, Children’s Home Society, Susan G. Komen and many more. KELOLAND’s Tradition of Caring won a national Emmy award for public service in 1999. And more recently, KELOLAND TV was honored with a regional Emmy for its Keep KELOLAND Warm coat drive that provided coats to hundreds of people.
