Marshall Broadcasting Group, Inc. purchased KLJB-TV a FOX affiliate, from Grant Communications on December 1, 2014. Throughout its history, KLJB-TV FOX 18 has always held a strong commitment to the communities it serves. KLJB-TV signed on July 28, 1985 as the Quad Cities’ first independent outlet and aired an analog signal on UHF channel 18. Throughout it’s FOX affiliation history, KLJB-TV has been recognized as a top performing FOX affiliate, not only with FOX network programming but with the most successful syndicated programming available. On December 31, 1999, KLJB became the first station in the market to broadcast a local 9pm News. The FOX 18 Nine O’clock News has consistently demonstrated it is a worthy News alternative.

KLJB’s syndicated programming includes the Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, Family Feud and Steve Harvey.

Cable / ADS penetration in the market is estimated to be 79.5%; 39% wired and 40.5% ADS. Major employers include Arconic, Kraft and Exelon. The Quad Cities also serves as world headquarters for John Deere and home to the Rock Island Arsenal, a major military installation. The scenic Mississippi River joins Iowa and Illinois while Interstate 80 and Quad Cities International Airport provide transportation opportunities to either coast.
