Austin, TX is in the 35th largest DMA in the United States, with a population of approximately 2,284,400 and 1,000,680 television households, as reported by Nielsen Media.

Austin was the 9th fastest-growing metro area in 2016, adding almost 60,000 residents. It has moved from DMA rank #51 to #39 in just 10 years. As the capital of Texas, Austin is a vibrant, modern metropolis, home of the University of Texas Longhorns, state of the art research facilities, multiple Fortune 500 companies, and high-tech venture capital investment.   Austin’s economy is a roaring, job-producing engine, with unemployment finishing at just 2.7% at the end of 2017.  Culturally influential, Austin is home to the South By Southwest Interactive, Film, and Music Festival (SXSW), the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.
