Station Profile
Nexstar has operated KNWA and KFTA since late 2003. Nexstar changed the call letters of the two stations to strategically relaunch KNWA with a focus on Northwest Arkansas. The area is home to Wal-Mart and has become one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country. KNWA invested in new graphics, music and additional news gathering assets as part of the launch of the stations. The station’s syndicated programming includes Entertainment Tonight, The Doctors, Judge Joe Brown & Judge Judy.

Cable/ADS penetration in the market is estimated to be 84% (43% wired, 41% ADS). The area is home to Wal-Mart, Tyson, JB Hunt and the University of Arkansas. It’s also one of the fastest- growing metropolitan areas in the country.
