WGN is an independent TV station that first signed on the air in March of 1948. Since then, WGN has been known as Chicago’s Very Own source for news, sports, and entertainment. WGN currently airs over 70 hours of local news per week – more than any other Chicago TV station – and can be seen on WGN-TV, CLTV, WGNTV.com, and the WGN News and Weather apps. WGN also produces and airs numerous local programs including: Chicago’s Best, See Chicago, Living Healthy Chicago, Weekend Workbench, Man of the People, The Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, Chicago Auto Show Special, and the 4th of July Fireworks.
