WTTA, Great 38 is Tampa Bay’s entertainment destination offering a mix of first run syndicated programming, sitcoms and live sports. The station first signed on June 21, 1991, and became a CW affiliate on September 2023. In January 2016, WTTA started airing a local 8:00PM newscast produced by its sister station WFLA. WTTA maintains a high profile in the community partnering with WFLA in major initiatives such as the American Heart Associations “Tampa Bay Heart Walk”, Kindness Day, 8 On Your Side Blood Drive, the Gasparilla Pirate Fest Parade, Gasparilla Distance Classic, Health & Fitness Expo, and Outdoors Expo & Boat Show. The station’s syndicated programming includes Family Feud, People’s Court, Maury, Judge Mathis, Hot in Cleveland, Seinfeld, Entertainment Tonight and The Doctors.
