Nexstar Broadcasting Group purchased WVNS-TV a CBS/FOX affiliate, from WV Media Holdings on November 17, 2015. Throughout its history, WVNS-TV has always held a strong commitment to the communities it serves. Today, that commitment is stronger than ever, including servicing the viewers with the best possible programming and local news coverage. WVNS-TV has always been a leader in new technology in the Lewisburg/Beckley/Bluefield market. Topping the list of many “firsts” are the accomplishments of being the first to broadcast in living color, broadcasting digitally, broadcasting in high definition programming – both network and syndicated, to being able to produce and air high definition advertising commercials. WVNS-TV’s syndicated programming includes the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, and Judge Judy.
