WYZZ is owned by Cunningham Broadcasting and operates with an outsourcing agreement with Nexstar owned station WMBD. WMBD and WYZZ are the only stations in the area with significant Bloomington based news and sales operations.
In April of 2002, we launched FOX 43 News at Nine on WYZZ, using the existing resources of the WMBD news department, becoming the market’s only prime time local news broadcast.
FOX 43 News at Nine was expanded to a full hour beginning in 2016 and a two-hour morning show debuted. In 2023, a 5:30 p.m. newscast started up on WYZZ.
The station’s syndicated programming includes Young Sheldon, The Drew Barrymore Show and the Jennifer Hudson show.
