IRVING, Texas – Earlier this week, The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) announced the national winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards with the local news operations of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Murrow Awards Gala in New York City on October 14th, 2019.
Since the Company was founded in 1996, Nexstar has established an organization-wide commitment to delivering exceptional locally-produced programming and service to the communities where it operates. In the 2019 National Edward R. Murrow competition, Nexstar’s news operations were distinguished with the following honors for their exceptional local journalism:

There, Lead Anchor Brad Byrd interviewed retired Senator Richard Lugar who was Mayor of Indianapolis at the time and Steve Bell, a former ABC News correspondent who was covering Bobby Kennedy that night on stage.
