Nexstar Broadcasting Garners Eleven Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards For Leading Local News And Journalistic Excellence

Awards Highlight Nexstar’s Organization-Wide Commitment to Exceptional Locally Produced Programming and Community Service

IRVING, Texas – The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) announced today the regional winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards and the local news operations of Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) are the proud recipients of eleven awards including Overall Excellence (Small Market), Feature Reporting (Large Market), Breaking News Coverage (2) (Small Market), Investigative Reporting (2) (Small Market), News Series (Small Market), Newscast (2) (Small Market and Reporting Hard News (2) (Small Market).

The RTDNA has been recognizing outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971 and the 2016 awards mark the fourth consecutive year that Nexstar stations have garnered nine or more regional awards.
