Nexstar acquired WJET, an ABC affiliate, in January 1998. Later that year WJET began a time brokerage agreement with Mission Broadcasting station WFXP, better known locally as FOX 66, the local Fox affiliate. As a result both stations have realized significant operating efficiencies. Through continued improvement in news coverage and dedication to the Erie community, WJET is the first choice for news in Northwestern Pennsylvania. WJET delivers the highest share of revenue in the market by leveraging its viewership and delivering superior customer service to its advertisers. The station’s syndicated programming includes, Entertainment Tonight, Judge Judy and The Doctors. WJET broadcasts in digital in High Definition.
